NYC’s Brooklyn Bridge Birthday Tomorrow > LEARN MORE
Mikki Monkolchayut, Sr. Producer, Thirteen

In honor of the Brooklyn Bridge turning 125 years old on May 24, 2008. I wanted to share some great sites that Thirteen and PBS have put up over the years.

1)
See a 360-degree view off the Bridge from the comfort of your chair… this site also has an interactive map and other 360-degree Brooklyn views.

2)
Brooklyn Bridge was Ken Burns’s first film to be broadcast on PBS and it received an Academy Award nomination in 1982. Many PBS viewers have not seen this film in over 10 years. So check out some highlights.

3)
For those educators out there, take a look at a lesson plan about building bridges.
